Turtlenecks

Turtlenecks
It’s funny how cyclical fashion can be. With the return of the 90s this year, it felt like I was reliving my childhood. I also realized how easy it can be to become a hoarder, with the fear of missing out constantly looming over your shoulder, why would you ever want to throw something out? Because I actually did just that. A year or two ago, I bought myself a lovely turtleneck sweater, only to wear it a handful of times before it found its place at the back of my closet. At that period of time, I’ll admit that I hid away my sweater because turtlenecks weren’t ‘in’. I even went as far as selling it when I was cleaning out my closet.
Now that it’s winter and they happen to be ‘in’ again (I won’t lie, we all follow trends to some extent), I’ve been on a month long hunt to find the perfect one. Having a long torso means that short sweaters diminish my stature, so I struggled to find a loose boxy sweater that wasn’t too long or heavy. One of my fears in a longer sweater was that the knit would be too drapey and heavy and cause it to loose shape. Not this one. I love the marled texture and that even though it’s a thick knit, it’s not a loose one. Having finally found my holy grail turtleneck sweater, it’s safe to say that my sweater quest is over and I can now move on to the next item on my lust list!

Awwww thanks Chloe! It’s definitely becoming a staple in my closet this season haha. Trust me, I was never much a fan of them either before! How have things been with you??
