Tis the season of giving (cheesey I know), and I am beyond the moon thankful for all of the amazing opportunities that I’ve been given this year. As a thank you for everyone’s ongoing support, I wanted to give back to my wonderful readers that have basically allowed me to get to where I am today. Without you, my blog and Instagram are nothing. And it’s safe to say that I feel like we’ve built an amazing community here on The Lust Listt.
Since Christmas is literally my favourite time of the year, I want to give back with 12 days of giveaways! I know that I might be a little late to the game (hey, I’ve been traveling like crazy for the past week and a half), but it’s better late than never right? So to kick it off, here’s what I’ll be giving away today!

Getting together with my immediate and extended family. It’s usually over 30-4o people and it’s a blast!
Day 1: I love getting to spend time with all my friends and family, especially those that left the city for uni but come back for the holidays
Day 1: I like to eat ALL the things.
Day 1: Drinking eggnog and putting up Christmas decorations. Wrapping presents while Love Actually plays in the background.
Day 1: love to eat and sleep 😛 Shopping never hurt either!
Day 1: Finally having the chance to go home from school and spend time with my family and friends!
Day 1: Spending time with my friends and family that I do not get to see throughout the year!
Day 1: Because I go away for school, my best way to celebrate the holidays is just to be at home with my family and relax as much as possible before I have to go back to school. Law school can be tough so I try to cleanse my mind and enjoy being around the people I love!
Day 1: I love to decorate my apartment, listen to the perfect christmas soundtrack, and drink peppermint hot chocolates!
Favourite way to spend the holidays is reuniting with old friends from home who come back! Always great catchign up and exchanging gifts.
12/16 — The most meaningful gift I’ve received was a hairclip from Kenya.
Day 2: my boyfriend got my a wooden photo album carved with our initials and a tree with all of out pictures in it 😻
Day 2: the most meaningful gift I ever received was from my parents last year — they got me a pair of gold earrings that I wanted from Portugal. I had mentioned it 2 years ago on our trip there and when they went back they got them and gave them to me. The meaning was that they are ‘queen’ style earring and they told me that I’m a queen and should have them. My parents are not thoughtful in any way and I felt so special that finally they got me a gift and not money.
Day 2: my parents last year got me a pair of earrings that I saw when I was in Portugal a couple of years back. Now my parents are not gift givers, they are money givers. They went back to Portugal last year and they had purchased the earrings I asked for and when they gave them to me told me I am a princess and deserved them. The earring in Portuguese are ‘queen’ style earrings so it was so cute that my parents finally got me a gift instead of money and cuz I always think I’m a princess made it very special.
Day 2: The most meaningful gift that I have received was from my colleague. She gave me a picture frame with a photo of us and the frame was all decorated.
day 2: i love to hike and be outdoors and i dont really have loved one that enjoy that with me. So last year for christmas my best friend gave me a gift certificate for me to take her on a 2 hour nature walk in the winter. Best gift ever. Quality time!
Day 3: a tea set and a giant bag of tea from a friend who understood my tea obsession ^^
Day 3: The hardest person to shop for definitely has to be my boyfriend because he never gives hints to what he wants and every holiday I always have to get it out of him.

Day 2: this gorgeous Chinese tea set from my husband two years ago! He knew I had wanted one for ages.
Day 3: my husband’s best friend/my best friend’s boyfriend (they’re the same person). He’s a straight forward simple guy obsessed with the gym but so precise about what gym gear he uses so that’s off the list. He never gives ideas either! Still deciding what to get him 🙂
Day 3: The hardest person to shop for is my husband. I would ideally like to surprise him with the perfect gift but it’s very difficult to guess what he would like so I usually just ask for ideas. 🙂
Day 3: probably my brother. He has everything and everytime he wants something he just gets it for himself so i always have to start thinking of things long before the Holidays or discover a new brand or store he doesnt know.
Day 4: Board games and ugly Christmas sweaters!
Day 4: My family watches A Christmas Story together on Christmas Eve and we each bring an appetizer to share while we watch!
Day 4: My favorite holidays traditions are decorating the tree as a family and second, meeting up with the whole extended family to catch up and have good times!
Day 4: Always going to each family members house for a different party! Everyone always makes their best dish 😋

Day 5: I have never!!! I don’t like that idea and think you should take the time to get something special for the people you are shopping for – regardless if they do the same for you.
Day 5: Surprisingly no lol 😇
Day 5: I don’t think I’ve ever re-gifted, but I’ve definitely given things away!
Day 5: I regifted a set of mixing bowls to the person that originally gifted to me 😳 In my defense they were going on and on about wanting those bowls. I made up for it during their birthday and gave them a huge celebration with lots of gifts!
Day 5: No, my friends and family usually get me something practical I can find some use for! 😅

Day 5: I’ve re-gifted generic stocking stuffers like scented candles and hand creams but for the most part I’ve been lucky to receive very thoughtful, personalized presents.
Day 5: No, I haven’t regifted gifts, but I certainly have not used them as much as I should, so I just keep them for sentimental purposes! 🙂
Day 5: (12/19) Yes I have ! Haha I get so many things from Bath & Body works every year when a) I am sensitive to really strong smelling stuff so I can’t use them on myself otherwise I’ll get a headache and b) no one needs 5 full bottles of body lotions lying around when I’ve been working on my pre existing one for almost a year!
Day 5: no I don’t regift. I think that gifts are really personal so I always try putting a lot of thought in what to get the person.
Day 5: I’ve definitely re-gifted some generic presents like body soaps and scented stuff simply because I have a really sensitive nose and would never be able to use them. I always feel bad every time though but it’s better than the stuff just getting thrown out eventually cause I would never be able to use them.
Day 5: I have before, but mostly just the generic stuff I get at the office (wine, champagne, chocolate gift baskets, Starbucks gift cards). I’m lucky to have great gift givers in my life!

Day 6 (December 20th)
I’m all done. I stress shop and well last week was finals. Needless to say my stress shopping proved helpful to more than just my mental health!
Day 6: Haha no not even close, still have one more final to go before I can start.

Day 7; I wish! I’d love to go to California!
Day 7: I’ll be staying here this Christmas in Ottawa! I was living in Ireland for two years and didn’t get to see my parents and brother in December so I’m happy to be home. It will be my husband’s second Canadian Christmas so he’s happy to celebrate with all the snow around us!
Day 7: I am staying local, no traveling. We have a lot of family near us so we all get together, catch up and eat lots of food!
Day 8, how the grinch stole Christmas!
Day 8: The kid in me still loves Frosty the Snowman and also the animated Grinch movie.
Day 8: Charlie Brown Christmas! And we have introduced it now to our kids and they love it too! 🙂

Day 9: as early as Black Friday! Isn’t it better when you can purchase Christmas presents at a discount as well?!
Day 9: I started on Black Friday/Cyber Monday to score some deals especially on toys for our young nieces and nephews. A good deal always makes me happy! 🙂

Day 10: It’s definitely “All I want for Christmas” by Mariah Carey (the original version). I honestly thought for the longest time that it was one of the classic Christmas songs like Jingle Bells and Deck the Halls
Day 9: I tend to start my Christmas shopping the last week of November. It’s best to shop earlier than later to avoid the crazy parking and last minute shoppers at the mall.
Day 10: my favourite Christmas carol has to be “Santa Claus is coming to town”
Day 10: Im not sure this counts but “Baby its cold outside”, if that doesn’t then “Deck the halls”! its hardto resist singing the “FALALALALAAA LA LA LA LA” part 😂
Day 10: It’s “All I Want For Christmas” by Mariah Carey. I always have to sing it out loud whenever it’s on! 🙂
Day 11: I had more than 20 people on my list because I do the shopping in our family for all of our young nieces and nephews. 🙂 I love wrapping the presents too!

Day 12: Yes! Woke up at 5:40 am to head to the sporting life at Hillcrest mall (the first 100 gets a $50 gift card) and we were probably the 200th in line as soon as we got there 😭 People don’t play. But got some goodies from VS and Express at markville mall after 😊🙏🏻
Day 12: you bet! Went to the mall and spent half an hour trying to find parking. I was pretty disappointed though since the sales were mediocre :/
Day 11; 3. My mum, my dad, and my brother! 🙂
Day 11: The fam plus some friends, not too many I think it was around 5
