Happy Friday! The weekend is so close that I can taste it! Today I wanted to share with you how to be sleeping bag chic in the winter to make sure that your body is warm from the top to the bottom. And no I’m not joking, wearing a sleeping bag has never been this chic.
This style of a long puffer jacket is kind of a standard for the slightly older demographic, but I can understand and appreciate why now. To be honest, I always thought that they looked like they were walking around in sleeping bags, but if you think about it from a visual stand-point, they basically are!
But when you really think about it, sleeping bags are designed to keep you warm while you’re sleeping outdoors overnight. Although I’m pretty sure that this jacket wasn’t designed with the pretence of being slept in (and I have zero plans to spend the night outdoors), I’m also sure that it’ll be good enough to withstand any chill that winter throws at me.
I’ve been loving the longer hems that have been everywhere this season and have really been wanting to get my hands on a new jacket that was long enough that it covered all the way down to my ankles.
This one doesn’t quite reach it, but it’s actually a good thing that I wasn’t able to find one that long, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to walk properly. A lesson I learnt from walking around in this one.
Fortunately enough, there’s a secondary zipper at the bottom of the track that allows me to unzip it as high up as necessary to make my daily commute back and forth a little bit easier.
And yes, though this jacket may appear to be a little bit granny-esque, because of recent trends translating into long hems and puffer jackets, this silhouette fits in perfectly making it right on trend and not granny-like at all.
