One of the highlights of my days is coming home after work, putting down my purse and taking off my bra. Yes, you read that right. Taking my bra off is a highlight of my day. Modern day society has dictated that bras are essential in everyday attire, so when trends deemed the peekaboo of a lace bralette as acceptable, you can bet that I jumped onto that opportunity. From wearing a tight, form fitted bra that has is essentially a wire cage and some stretchy fabric, to elasticized lace, who can really complain about this upgrade? And it only gets better from there.
A comfortable bra is most often the most unattractive as well. So when lace bralettes are not only comfy but cute, it’s a win-win situation all around for everyone. Do I ever want to wear a real bra again? Heck no, but then again, lace bralettes aren’t going to cut it in the office.
Lounging around outside by the pool in a lace bralette and a floral maxi dress could only be a dream come true in the middle of February for a Torontonian. I can’t even fathom how long ago it was that I was able to wear something this breezy and comfortable. Now if only I’d worn or even brought my bathing suit with me so that I could go for a quick dip before slipping back into the dress – my day would be complete.
Until then, I count down the days until I leave for Las Vegas. With the sun on my mind and the temperatures rising, you can bet that I’ll be fully prepared and packed for a summer vacay in the dead of April. Really though, why wait for Mother Nature when you can make your own change?
