Dress – L Space // Heels – Vince
I’m a sucker for a good sale – as are most people. But a good sale to me isn’t just 30% off, a good sale to me is being able to get quality pieces for a good price. Sure I love my H&M and Zara, but the quality of high street fashion is sometimes still difficult to justify – even with a sale. Would you believe me if I told you that this entire outfit from Nordstrom would have costed me over $700.00, but I got it for less than $80? Dreams really do come true.
I’ve never been one to step into a warehouse sale with high expectactions. I know what it’s usually like – messy, full of people, and ransacked within the first couple of hours of opening. So when I stepped into the Nordstrom Warehouse Sale hosted by Style Democracy that is being held this week, I was expecting to only really find one thing – not 5.
It was already well into the evening of the first day of the sale (I didn’t have a chance to visit until 7PM at night, while it had already been open to public since 2PM), so my thoughts were that all of the good stuff had already been scooped by eager beavers.
Had I been able to take the day off and check out the sales right at opening, I’m pretty sure my bank account would have taken a nice hit thanks to the plethora of treasure waiting to be purchased. So maybe it was better off that I went later in the day.
Having tiny feet (I’m anywhere from a 5.5-6), I wasn’t hopeful on landing a pair of shoes. Where the shoe gods ever in my favor though, because I managed to snag these beautiful taupe Vince heels for a fraction of their original price.
Retailing for $500+, I walked out with a ticket price of only $50. But my luck didn’t end there. My wandering eyes landed on a pair of strappy Joie sandals as well – which I quite literally snatched off of the table as soon as I saw it. And for only $40 from an original price of $300, I was sold. At this point, my heart was beating pretty fast – I’d never really had this much luck at most warehouse sales in the past but I was on a roll. I was basically having a retail high.
And thank god my luck didn’t run out there. After I finished attacking the shoes, I made my way over to the dresses. With summer being right around the corner, I wanted to grab a couple dress to stock up for the warmer weather. Stumbling onto this beautiful L Space boho white dresses with bell-sleeves, I confirmed that luck was on my side. Side note here that I actually sized up in this dress and purchased it in a large, as opposed to my typical extra small. I wanted a loose and flowy fit, and the large provided just that.
If you plan on visiting the sale yourself, don’t fret – there’s still tons of stock waiting for you! It’s a little bit of a trek, but well worth it. When else will you get the chance at $500 booties for only $50? The answer is never.
