Happy Hump Day! Today I wanted to share an easier way to integrate white into your daily outfits instead of a crazy lace top. As much as I love my lace top from the previous post, I completely get that it isn’t the most appropriate attire for every situation. My definition of a white hot summer doesn’t necessarily stipulate that the entire outfit has to be composed solely of white – because if you haven’t already caught on, I love white, but I also love pairing it down with other pieces as well.
If you know me, you’ll know that I’ve never been much of a sandwich eater. Luckily, if monochromatic sandwichs count, then I’m definitely on board. My typical monochromatic sandwich only really utilizes two differing colours/shades (or whatever you want to label them), with a focus of on white being in the middle. Like a sandwich – get it?
I don’t have a black dress shirt, but if I did, you would probably see me posting the inverse option of this outfit. I’ve always refrained from wearing white dress shirts as they can often come off more conservative than my personality, but throwing a moto jacket over top of one is always an easy solution to make an outfit more casual. Sandwiching white between a piece of outerwear and bottoms of a different colour are a simple yet effective way of including white into your summer wardrobe without sacrificing your personal style.
Toss in a couple of additional accessories and you’re set to go! I love including a white watch when I wear a white long-sleeved top as it helps to elongate the length of my arms. The same way you can wear nude shoes to elongate the length of your legs, pseudo-extending the sleeve length of your shirt definitely helps to perpetuate the image of longer arms. 😉
