One of the few things that I find to be extremely satisfying in life, is to match my outfits with my surroundings. Do you remember back in middle school when you first started wearing makeup, and all you want to do was to be able to match your eyeshadow with your outfit that you wore to school that day? Yep, that sense of satisfaction when it all just flows together. That’s the same feeling that I get when I can match my clothes to my environment. Obviously this doesn’t happen all of the time, but when it does, I really do let it all sink in.
On our first ever trip to Portugal almost two years ago, I was struck by the beauty of their intricate blue tiles, better known as Azulejo, and made it my goal to shoot against the tiles on my recent trip. I had sadly not been able to snag a photo with them the last time that we were there because every single place that we visited was fully packed with other tourists (read: we stupidly went to the most touristy spots and somehow expected to be able to get photo), making it difficult to get the perfect photo.
This time around, Peter stumbled across this castle in between Lagos and Faro during one of our itinerary planning nights, and I instantly knew that it would be the perfect location to get my beloved shot of the blue tiles.
Somehow, I managed to land a suit in the most coincidental shade of blue ever and my vision was fulfilled.
Girl these pictures are incredible!
