Dress, Scarf, Heels, Headband – Ever New

After keeping a secret from everyone for a little while, P and I finally announced our engagement to our Instagram family this past week! We really wanted to be able to enjoy the special moment and next chapter in our life by ourselves for a little bit first before sharing the amazing news with our online family, and I’m extremely glad that we took that route. It’s hard to find a good balance between how much of our personal lives that we share online, and taking the time to celebrate your personal milestones in quiet is sometimes the best way! With that being said, I can fully say that wedding planning is in complete swing now! Though we aren’t planning on having our wedding this year, you can bet that we already have quite a few others to attend. Besides looking for the perfect wedding dress, I now am also on the hunt for some lovely bridesmaid and wedding guest dresses.

Without a doubt, I went to Ever New to peep their dress collection because they literally have a dress for every occasion possible and I instantly gravitated towards this gold-speckled black beauty. You’ll know that I’m not a big fan of purchasing dresses that can’t be re-purposed for an everyday outfit, and this dress falls perfectly within my re-purposing goals! Besides being such a stunner and flowing beautifully to make me feel like a princess, I can 100% without a doubt throw on a pair of fun combat boots and a knitted sweater to transition it into a cute skirt (or even re-wear to different weddings).

Although the gold speckles scattered throughout the material would lead you to think that the dress is only useful for special occasions, the black definitely offsets it to increase the longevity of the dress! For any friend that is a fan of the unconventional wedding, this little number is perfectly comfortable for any bridesmaid duties you may need to perform! Then take it out for a spin the next month after if you’re attending someone else’s wedding as a guest! Trust me, there are so many different ways that you can style this dress to make it suitable for any occasion.
