Embracing Sweater Weather

The funny story that goes hand in hand with this post is that this is an outfit that I actually wore last year. Yep, I did not wear this outfit recently, though I wish I had because it’s just as cute to me now as it was last year! A year ago (almost to this day!) I shot this outfit in collaboration for a project, but then lost all of my files. I somehow managed to drop my SD card in a friend’s car, only to think that it was lost forever. Recently, my friend was cleaning out his car and found it, so hallelujah, the content lives! Unluckily for me, I already had to reshoot the content for that campaign, but I loved this outfit too much that I just had to share it. Luckily for me, it’s sweater weather again and this outfit fits in perfectly for the season. Is it weird to say that I’m already getting inspiration for some future outfits just by looking at an outfit that I wore last year?

Since I much prefer summer attire to fall clothes, I sometimes encounter a bit of an outfit block (similar to writer’s block, but for putting together outfits) when the temperature drops and I can no longer wear my wrap dresses and shorts. Now that it’s begun to snow in certain areas of Canada, it has finally hit me that it’s time for sweater weather and for the dresses to be put back into storage. You won’t find me carrying a PSL anytime soon though since I’m not a fan of pumpkin or spiced anything. But a warm and snuggly sweater where I can feel like I’m walking around in PJs all day? I can definitely get behind that. Time to embrace sweater weather!
