It’s been awhile since I’ve worn these boots and I can’t help but wonder why I ever put them away to begin with. Which then also makes me wonder why I rotate through my shoes, whereas my closet remains roughly the same all year round.
With the four seasons that we’re graced with on the East Coast of Canada, you’ve always got to make sure that you’ve got the right set of clothes for each season in order to tackle it head on and not come out at the bottom. But with that being said, it can tend to get a little pricey when it comes to buying two completely different wardrobes just to stay seasonally relevant and comfortable.
Obviously it becomes hard to justify wearing shorts in the winter time when the temperature drops a difference of forty degrees compared to the summer. And no, I’m not toting around my parka all summer long just to get the most use out of it. But just because those garments aren’t interchangeable doesn’t meant that the rest of the stuff that I wear can’t be.
These boots were amazing for both spring and fall when the temperature wasn’t too cold that my toes would be frost-bitten, nor was it too hot that I’d get feet sweats while walking around town in these.
I should have never hidden them away once spring was over. They would have been perfect for countless different outfits that I wore in the summer.
I absolutely love the aesthetic design of these heeled booties, yet they’re almost as comfortable as if you were walking barefoot. I know, I know, you’re probably thinking that I’m lying because of the heel on the boot, therefore rendering it comfortless. Is that even a word? I seriously hope so, because if not, Mariam Webster better get ready for me to take over her dictionary and to introduce words that I use on an everyday basis into the English language.
After discovering them hidden in the back of my closet and out of plain sight, I decided that it was finally time to breathe some life back into these soles. I loved them once and I know that I’ll love them again. And now is better than ever since leather/sweater weather is back in town. Who wouldn’t want to wear a comfy and cute pair of booties when the time is needed?!
Not only did they work perfectly with this whole outfit, but they’ve officially lodged themselves in my mind as my ultimage go-to pair of black booties for any outfit regardless of the season (unless it’s raining, because then I wouldn’t even want to be outside enough to bother putting on these shoes).
